How to choose a red wine glass?
1. Choose from 2 different styles or sizes of wine glasses. Use a small glass to drink white wine, and a large glass to drink red wine. In general, full-bodied wines are best served in a slightly larger glass, while light and fruity wines are best served in a smaller glass. The wine glass is relatively small to reduce the contact between the wine and the air, so as to prevent the aroma from dissipating too quickly. The bigger the red wine glass, the better, pour it to 1/3 full, and let the wine release its aroma slowly when it comes into contact with the air.
The ball-shaped bantam glass stimulates the wine to release more wonderful flavors, exuding a rich, full-bodied wine. Wine needs to be in contact with air, and conical wine glasses are undoubtedly the most suitable wine glasses to release the aroma of wine.
If drinking still wine, use a clear, colorless, flat glass. Thick, patterned or colored glasses can get in the way of your appreciation of the wine's appearance.

2. Drink sparkling wine and champagne in fluted glasses or tulip glasses (also called champagne glasses). When tasting sparkling wine, the cup shape slows down the rate at which the bubbles evaporate, allowing you to taste the best flavor and aroma. Do not serve champagne in a wide-mouthed or shallow-dish champagne glass, as the bubbles and aromas disappear instantly.
3. Look for wine glasses with rolled rims. They look more refined and are more comfortable when the mouth touches the glass.
4. Want some wine for dinner? Opt for a larger wine glass to hold more wine (about 120 to 180 ml per glass) and make sure the glass still has plenty of room to fill.
5. For wine tasting events, choose cheap shot glasses. Wine glasses for a wine tasting don't have to be fancy or expensive. These types of occasions require a large number of wine glasses and are easily broken by guests, so cheaper wine glasses are more suitable. It's best to choose a smaller tasting glass (especially if you have to serve many guests at the same time throughout the night).
